    Sales Development Manager, CafeMom and MamásLatinas

    We are looking for an experienced, energetic, creative and solutions-oriented marketer to join our sales development team! This person will be responsible for developing inspiring, innovative and strategic digital marketing campaigns for top tier advertisers wanting to reach moms. Reports directly to VP Sales Development.

    Role & Responsibilities:
    • Work under the direction of the VP of Sales Development to enhance and further develop the overall design of the CafeMom & MamásLatinas sales materials
    • Partner with front-line sales to conceptualize, write and present (internally & externally) strategic marketing proposals in response to Advertiser RFPs
    • Lead creative brainstorms to come up with original, inspiring ideas that meet advertiser's objectives and leverage our best assets
    • Leverage your PPT expertise and presentation-development skills to deliver comprehensive, strategic, and exciting pitch decks and presentations
    • Work with Design to create sales comps (no knowledge of design tools needed), and Research to craft compelling data-driven stories
    • Act as a sales product gate-keeper by understanding all of the functionality and best practices for each product we sell; package knowledge into sales materials and communicate information clearly to front-line team and Advertisers
    • Partner with internal teams (product, design, community, video etc.) to develop new, sellable products that align with our value prop; clearly translate complex, conceptual ideas into real products and sales materials
    • Aide in developing, managing and maintaining the CafeMom story through sales presentations and materials
    • Provide thought leadership about digital advertising, new platforms and technologies, emerging trends and more

    Skills & Competencies:
    • Minimum of 4 years' experience in online marketing/advertising, with a minimum of 2 years developing RFPs and marketing proposals
    • Strong understanding of the online advertising space, social media, word of mouth marketing and online campaign success metrics
    • Proficient in MS PowerPoint - a must! - and all other MS Office Tools
    • Highly creative and strategic; proactive; strong organizational skills; effective communicator
    • Self motivator with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines

    Staff Writer, MamáLatinas

    MamáLatinas, CafeMom's bilingual website, is seeking an experienced Staff Writer to cover a variety of topics, from general lifestyle content to news and entertainment. All candidates must have significant online experience and the ability to work quickly, while paying close attention to details. Content needs to be smart, high quality, and have personality. Candidates must have strong writing skills in Spanish and should be able identify topics and cover stories based on current news of high relevance to the US Latina. Individuals should be self-motivated and able to pitch the kinds of stories they would want to share with their Latina friends; able to generate ideas that are original, thought provoking and will drive traffic. Familiarity with SEO best practices and understanding what makes web content viral and sticky is important. Candidates must understand how to (and be willing to) promote their work on social media, are responsible for all art and fact-checking, and must be able to post directly into a CMS, without the need for an edit. The ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment, in a fast-paced environment, is essential. This job requires 6 new posts every day, in our voice and style. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, an open mind, a willingness to learn and experiment, a desire to be part of an amazing brand and a willingness to put forth 110% effort. Familiarity with leading online sites (newspapers, blogs, social bookmarking sites, etc.) and social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook, is highly desired.

    Digital Sales Planner

    CafeMom is seeking a motivated and energetic online Sales Planner with strong communication & organizational skills to join our sales team in New York. In this role, you will be supporting a fast-paced sales team with the pre-sale cycle. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented candidate with 1-3 years digital sales experience to display their passion for media sales on a fun, energetic and innovative team of sales professionals.

    Role & Responsibilities:
    • Work with Sales to build compelling digital media plans and presentations to meet clients objectives via RFP or proactive planning
    • Provide support to Sales Directors by building custom media plans and decks, entering plans into third party systems and responding to internal and external requests
    • Partner with Sales Development team to build compelling, strategic and innovative proposals
    • Learn and interpret client objectives with ability to translate into a media strategy
    • Develop strong relationships with ad agencies and clients
    • Input and track all proposals/opportunities in DSM to ensure accurate forecasting, revenue reporting and billing
    • Review and process Insertion Orders
    • Develop strong understanding of CafeMom's products and opportunities
    • Work in tandem with Sales team, Ad Operations, Account Management and Client Solutions to ensure a smooth pre-sale to post-sale transition and proper and timely launch of contracted campaigns

    Skills & Competencies:
    • Minimum of one year full time work experience in online advertising/marketing
    • Knowledge of the online advertising industry
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • Knowledge of Ad Serving Software and Tracking Programs: Doubleclick Sales Manager (DSM), MediaVisor, Atlas, Prisma, etc.
    • Self-motivator, strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Outlook

    Manager, IT Operations

    Reporting to the EVP of Technology, the Manager of IT Operations is responsible for all corporate IT usage across CafeMom, MamáLatinas, The Prowl, and other properties. The position manages a small team of IT personnel who are responsible for system administration, networking, security and end-user support. The Manager of IT Operations will work closely with people in all areas of the company, and will be a key representative of the technology group.

    Role & Responsibilities:
    • Developing IT policies and practices
    • Flexibly adapting systems to meet changing business needs
    • Ensuring that employees have the tools necessary to perform their work
    • Designing and implementing network/system security
    • Implementing training programs for staff to educate them on systems usage
    • Planning, deploying and managing a variety of new platforms, including tablets, sales force automation software, videoconferencing, cloud storage, etc.
    • Responsible for disaster recovery/business continuity planning, testing, and execution
    • Managing a small team of IT personnel
    • Being extremely hands-on in managing the team and systems and supporting internal users, as we operate like a start-up and want doers

    Skills & Competencies:
    • BS degree or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years relevant IT support, systems administration, security, disaster recovery, and IT management experience
    • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and other end-user platforms
    • Experience with a range of technologies/platforms including Windows Server, Exchange, Netbackup, Great Plains, Salesforce.com and related packages

    Program Analytics Senior Manager

    The Program Analytics Senior Manager will work with the VP of Sales Strategy & Operations to evaluate campaign performance and develop new sales offerings. Specifically, the Senior Manager will analyze and perform quality assurance on our current live campaigns, create comprehensive results/performance decks for advertiser programs and maintain various reports/databases of campaign metrics for management insight. In addition, the Senior Manager will oversee a team of 1-2 Program Analytics associates that assist with many of the responsibilities listed below.

    Role & Responsibilities:
    • Monitor critical program metrics on a daily basis and keep VP of Sales Strategy aware of performance issues
    • Take part in bi-weekly meetings with the Account Management and Client Solutions Teams to assess campaign performance and determine course of action to make improvements
    • Create comprehensive program wrap decks in PowerPoint for the Sales Team that highlight campaign objectives, elements, performance, qualitative user engagement and value
    • Create case study packages and one-sheets that communicate program value and highlight our innovative products
    • Own and maintain a comprehensive spreadsheet of program element metrics for campaigns that have ended
    • Use the metrics database to determine benchmark success ranges and inform the Sales Strategy and Sales Development Teams of performance trends, etc.
    • Participate in the enhancement of existing products and the development of new products based on the success of past programs and the needs of our advertising partners and member audience
    • Perform ad hoc reports and analysis to support the VP of Sales Strategy and senior management requests

    Skills & Competencies:
    • Bachelors Degree and 3-4 years relevant experience (digital media/online advertising a plus)
    • Highly-organized, self-starter with the ability to set priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required, advanced preferred
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong people skills and ability to work across numerous groups/departments
    • Flexible and can-do attitude
