  • I would absolutely switch to an organic formula perhaps ... if breastfeeding wasn't an option.

  • "We are aware of recent media reports regarding trace, or extremely low, levels of melamine found in some infant formula products sold in the US. We would like parents and caregivers to be aware that only one Nestlé Good Start® product is affected by this issue, specifically, Good Start Supreme ARA/DHA, liquid formula sold in 8.45 ounce cans. Other Nestlé Good Start infant formula products, including powdered formula, other product sizes, and packaging types of infant formula are not affected."

  • k thank butwould you just stop this formula completely or, just the specific one?

Answer by laurabebe at 6:58 PM on Jan. 3, 2009

  • These are TRACE amounts. There are no adverse effects. The media blows everything out of proprtion. There have been NO babies in the US that have gotten sick or died from this formula. The formula in Japan was INTENTIONALLY tainted and that's why so many kids died and were sick. Even organic formulas may not be malamine free b/c it happens during the packaging process. Our children will be fine

  • It's CHINA, damn it! Not Japan!
