Can you get your teeth cleaned while pregnant? im 36 weeks.

  • id imagine so i think you jus cant xrays done.. all they do is brush your teeth and flose them and stuff

  • yes. a cleaning is simple. they'll even do cavaties and deep cleanings if absolutely neccassary

  • I had lots of dental work done while I was pregnant. No gas, and avoid x-rays if possible. They should also avoid a certain kind of novacaine, just because it can knock you for an extra loop (doesn't hurt baby!) when your system is whacko. Cleaning actually SHOULD be done while your pregnant, since you're supposed to do it every six months. :)

  • It depends on your dentist. Mine didnt want to do anything with me except check ups while I was pregnant. Maybe I just got another crappy doctor again lol.
