How many children's books do you own?

We have about 300+. Just wondering if anyone is as crazy over books as I am. My kids love to read stories!

  • Books are the one thing I think my son can never have too many of.
He is 20 months old and has 4 full big shelves of books.
I even have old antique books collected for him in my room.
He has two small books in his crib at night, a basket of books next to his crib along with different books I pick out and put on his bedside table everyday for us to read throught the day.
Oh he also has a plush treasure chest (it is big) which has all of his strang shaped, soft books, etc in it that his plush pirate sits on top of, lol.
Yeah, I go nuts on books.
I have never seen a child my son's age have close to the ammount of books he has. And we actually bought three more yesterday (we go to the used book store down the street all fo the time)

  • We have no where near that many, but only because we try to live kind of minimally. However we do have probably around 20ish

  • I did not count but it's a lot. @ bookcases that are 4 ft tall 3 ft wide four shelves each. Packed with book, plus another stack on top about a foot high

  • yesh I have a ton. my child is hard on them too. I think We will just keep adding to them as she gets older too. It is a good thing to have books around. I think that there should be a healthy limit though.
Rotate the books you do have so they always seems newer.

  • We have about 20. I rotate them in and out, so they girls aren't so overwhelmed. My parents about about 20 at their place too.
