I was watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with my daughter and...Augustus...they cast a fat kid as a fat kid. I started thinking about it and what an awful thing to do! I mean the child has weight issues and they cast him as a glutenous pig...drinking chocolate and eating constantly. I can't imagine signing my overweight child up for something like that, but do you think it was unethical for them to do that? It cant be good on his self image! I'm sure there are a ton of other examples of this.

I don't have an issue with it, he's an actor doing an acting job. Yes, he's a child, but any child actor is going to have some form of issue with rejection in their life. The child played the role he signed up for, it's his parent's job to make sure that he doesn't take the character too personal.
