My wife tried to cook egg noodles in the broth that she cooked the chicken in and the noodles turned to mush. What did she do wrong?

  • I'm going to go against everyone else and say that the broth might not have been boiling when she added the egg noodles. Also, You can't stop the cooking process when you add the noodles to the soup.

    I cook my noodles separately for the low end of the cooking time and then rinse and add.
    Also, You can bring to a boil, add the noodles and shut the heat off. In a half an hour the noodles will be cooked perfectly.
