Occupy Protestors.. Harrass and SPIT on a Coast Guard Officer? Who supports these protestors? Who sympathizes with them?

IS this the movement President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, etc should SYMPATHIZE WITH and SUPPORT???

The Coast Guard in Boston confirmed that a woman in uniform was harassed and spat upon near Occupy Boston protesters.

The woman was walking to the train and said protesters spit on her twice, called her foul names and even threw a water bottle at her.

Now, the Coast Guard is warning all staff working on Atlantic Avenue to avoid those protesters while in uniform.

  • The hypocrisy here blows the mind!!! The Tea Party was called racist and hateful if they found ONE sign among THOUSANDS that said something SLIGHTLY inappropriate! But these idiots on wall street are given a pass over and over! It just proves that freedom of speech and the right to PEACEABLY assemble is only acceptable for those on the left.........only wait.....they ARE NOT peaceful!! UUGGHHHHH

  • The media Bias has been obvious for a long time to those of us that don't depend on leftist media for our information.

It's a shame that these people don't know the role that the coast guard and military play in our lives.  That they would be so quick to spit on them just shows their lack of respect for those that are willing to sacrifice something the protesters would never imagine sacrificing for the rest of us.  While it makes me a little angry, it also makes me feel sorry for the stupid people that do that sort of stuff.  It must suck waking up angry at the world and the first thing they feel is hatred and resentment, then their agenda for the day is to make others miserable.  Yes, it would suck to be them.

  • I stand with the protesters and this is why:
" Show your support. You probably don't agree with everything that everyone of those protesting believe, but the situation with the economy and the wars makes for some pretty strange bedfellows. Honk to show your support. Get out and talk to some of those occupying your city. I guarantee you will find some common ground. These are not all hippies, or all anarchists, or all communists. Many of them are people just like you, fed up with the direction our country and the world are heading. They are out there because you are not. If not them, if not us, then who? If not now, then when?

The people that we are with will not fight, spit, and will clean up after themselves, You need to go and see it for your self. You can't believe the media! It is very important to behave they want respect!!!
You will be told to leave if you do something stupid!!! the media wont tell you that.

  • There are always people who take advantage of this!! they are not with us!!

Yesterday in Denver the was a group of 5 kids that where Anarchists and the group of two thousand would not stand with these kids. And would let them walk alone.

The only way you can see the facts is to get out there!

I live in Anchorage. The Occupy Anchorage group was around 100 people.. Anchorage is a small town, they aren't hard to miss... Go to the mall, the museum, etc~ they are there.... Soooooo~ They were calling for an American Revolution... Funny, when anyone in the TP used a revolution reference, they were accused of inciting violence. Beyond that they had about 30 other vague messages... From end the war, to pot greater than 4 oz should be legal.... Really? Occupy pot? And Gammie, there were Ron Paul Supporters there... They were boo'd and jeered.... I don't think your would have liked that... Mixed Messages. No clear, defined objective...

Tea Party Ralliers said this too about the very few racist/Obama=Hitler signs, etc.... Yet, the media focused on the few... With OWS~The media is SUPPORTING and encouraging OWS... Political leaders, the media, etc are NOT speaking out against the " people who take advantage"... THere is a clear double standard.... There is violence. There is no clear message....

  • When I go to these rallies I will wear my Ron Paul t-shirts. I always support Ron Paul NOT afraid!!

As the group grows in Anchorage get to know them. They may have different messages, but we all want a better America!!

  • That is so sad. She hassworn an oath to give her life to protect the very document they are using to assault her. Freedom is not FREE and if you aren't willing to make the ultimate sacrifice you should at least have some respect for those that are.

They had signs against Republicans and FOR Obama.. Riiiight. Because Obama isn't intertwined in Corporate Cronyism? Obama didn't support Bailouts? Please. I walk through the square where they are 3-5 times a day. I will be curious to see how and if their message becomes more defined and less partisan.
