My daughters fingernails are falling off, doesn't anyone know why

She is 3. She lost one already on her left hand. It peels up by the cuticle first then falls off. On her right hand she had the white line in the middle of her nails, now those 3 are peeling from the cuticle as well. They are about to fall off now too. =(

  • She has had no trauma to her hands? If not she needs to be seen by her Pediatrician. That certainly isn't what I would call in the range of 'normal'. At minimum it sounds like a nutritional deficiency.

  • She definitely needs to be seen by her doctor.

  • If it were my son this were happening to, he'd be at the doctor already.
