What do you pack in your kids lunch box?

My daughter takes her lunch to school once or twice a week. She doesn't have access to a fridge so I send stuff that doesn't need to be kept cold, but I feel like I'm sending the same stuff over and over again. Any other mom feel the same way? Or have the same problem?

  • Can you use a thermos for some soup or ice packs to pack some deli sandwiches?

  • I'm going to look for some smaller ice packs. The ones we have are for a larger lunchbox. Thanks!

  • There arent alot of options when you send them lunch. I usually would make them PB&J, Ham Sandwiches, Tuna Sandwiches, fruit snacks, crackers, string cheese, or cheese cubes. About once a week I try and buy them something like a Happy meal and surprise them with it.

  • My grnaddaughter likes yogurt raisens, dried blueberries or berry blends of dried fruits. Canned snack packs of fruit are a favorite too. She prefers a PB&J or apple slices and a little tub of peanut butter

  • Thanks ladies! My hubby says I'm to worried about it. But I want her to get a good meal, and I don't want her to end up with something that goes bad by noon. Take care!

  • We pack whatever! We have the cute little crayola thermos containers that can keep things warm or cool. We not just pack sandwiches, but they love spaghetti, so i make extra at dinner so they can take leftovers to school, TACOS, pigs n a blanket, my daughter loves salads,
The sandwiches we switch up. We make grilled cheese, ham, turkey, chicken, tuna, pb & j. We don't use chips always, we do use , goldfish, cheesecrackers, popcorn.
We use alot of fruit and the little cream cheese fruit dip cups for dipping. (found at walmart)
feel free to add me if u wanna swap lunch box ideas...

  • Mom used to make me boiled eggs, and already have them peeled for me.
Also my kids like to take go-gurt, and they love those stupid Lunchables. (which are more expensive, but at least they eat it).
I make our own "lunchables" with crackers and cheese and cut up meat squares. It changes it up a bit.
