i think my 3wk old is sick...please help!

my daughter is 3wks old and she has been crying nonstop,(fed her, changed her..all that stuff) but she seem really irritable. i felt her and she feels kind of warm so i took her temp and it said 98.7. so i dont think she has a fever or is that considered a fever in a newborn? everyone i talkedto and books ive read said only to call the dr when its over 100.4. shes eating normally, not vomiting or so confused!!
or could it be that shes just constipated seeing as how she hasnt gone since sunday night?

  • MOM CALM DOWN lol it's gonna be ok,she sounds like she is colicky.Call your doc and tell them what is going on.deep breathing hon...don't panic because she will sense your stress and that can make her fussy too.

  • That could be it. If you breastfeed try drinking some prune juice, enough of it should get into your milk to help her pass her bowels. Good luck sweetie and know you are not the only Mama who feels this helpless at times. Just love on her as I'm sure you are, this too shall pass. I would call her Doctor too.

  • It is probably colic if she cries all the time, but you need to take her to the doctor because he can examine your baby and tell you what is wrong so you aren't wondering...
