What is an egg-free treat to make...

...for an in-school birthday celebration for 3 & 4 year-olds? My DD's birthday is coming up & I wanted to bring in a treat. The teacher does not want cupcakes b/c she claims all they do is lick the icing off of the top (what's wrong with that? lol!). One of her classmates has an egg allergy & I don't want her to feel excluded. I'm trying to make chocolate-covered pretzel rods, but I am sucking at it. I was going to put them in little baggies w/ popcorn at the bottom. Help!!! Thanks in advance!

  • I was just going to say rice krispie treats too! I like the chocolate covered pretzel idea. How wrong can you have possibly gone?! lol...I bet they taste great!

  • I think I left too much chocolate on the pretzel when I dipped them. I've been using a knife to scrape off the excess & now they look much better! Yeah, no matter how I screw them up, they still taste the same. Do 3 & 4 year-olds really care anyway?!

  • If the chocolate looks funny on the pretzel rods, cover them with sprinkles.. kids looove sprinkles.

  • my daughter used to love it when we would mix cereal, marshmallows, pretzels, popcorn, m&m's, cheetos...not all of these, but we would pick 3 and baggie them up. Other parents would make their own trail mix too and the kids loved it.
