Has anyone got dental work done in their 3rd trimester?

Have you had a cavity filled and had that anestetic (spl??) shot in your mouth?

  • I have heard the local anasthetics are safe. Its when they have to put you out or give you gas that causes trouble. I have never had a cavity before but I hear they hurt so if it unbearable go get it fixed. If not I would wait until the baby is born...as long as it wont get worse.

  • I have an erupting wisdom tooth and they won't do anything until after I give birth.

  • I had dental work in my first pregnancy at 9 weeks. You should take care of your teeth. Make sure that the dr knows that you are going to the dentist, and that the dentist is taking precautions for the pregnancy. You should be ok.
