What to expect after it is said and done?

I have 2 step kids (17 & 18 years old) we are alittle behind on child support and I know we will be paying until we are done regardless if they are 18.
They don't come around much, they live with their mom, they live about an hour away. Do you see them coming over then???
There dad has always been in their lives never did he give them any idea of neglect, but they have more leeway at their mom's so what do you think?
I have always treated them good (love, respect, caring ,just as they were my own).

  • Id Dad has truly been in their lives I would expect as they grow into adulthood they would keep contact. If the relationship has been strained or they feel there are too many rules etcx...they may walk on by for a while and turn around later. It's hard to say. Dad need to make sure they know how much he loves them and that they are importnat in his life.

  • They'll legally be adults so the ball will really be in their court. Hopefully they will want to see their dad but the choice will be theirs to make.

  • They need their space for now. They will realize sooner or later how much their father has done for them.Just call them everynow and then to say hello. It takes young men a while to figure things out.
