  • Is it daycare or preschool? That makes a difference also.

  • Here in NM it is typically around 180-200 a week for 5 days or 42.75 per day at a business type daycare- best thing to do is call around and just ask though.

  • I am comparing prices and see so much in difference around here. I havent yet looked into at home daycares, but I was just wondering what a typical week would cost. Thanks!

  • I'm paying a little over $200 a week for full time preschool and daycare for my DD. We are in an outer suburb of Atlanta. It is one of the more expensive centers in our area.

  • Around here at a center it would be by the week not day or hours. It is around $150-$170 a week depending on the age.
Certified in home care is generally based on the day or the week. Day being about $35-40 a day. and about $170-$180 a week
Non-certified home care is generally based on the day or the week. Day being about $20-$30 and about $100-$150 a week.

Places that offer drop in care is generally charged by the hour. Around $10-$12 and hour for one child.

Places offering over night care charge much more.

  • The younger the child, the more expensive the daycare. It's usually most expensive for babies and toddlers up to age 3, then it comes down.

  • It's going to vary greatly depending on your area. For my area, it would be anywhere from $95-$150 a week depending on if the child was an infant or a 3 year old that is potty trained.
