  • Well realy at 3 months the only person who can really know how much and how often he/she should eat is his/her mother. at that age it all depends on the baby.

  • A 3 month old baby should eat as often and as much as they want. Feed on demand.

There is a "general" rule that they should take in 2.5oz per pound per day. My guys NEVER followed that guideline, though....

    At 3 months, they were taking 8oz every 2-3 hours....sleeping through the night roughly 8pm - 6am.

  • Babies should always be fed on demand.

During the day, mine eats roughly every hour or so.. She goes a three hour nap without waking to nurse.. And at night, she'll sleep a maximum of 6 hours before she wakes to nurse, although on average she wakes about 2-3 times a night.. (Sometimes more often).

The key is not to ask what others are doing, though, but to know your own child and his/her own needs. Never feed by a clock, always feed when the baby is hungry.

How much? As much as baby needs.
