I've herad that you can somewhat guess what the baby will be by the heartbeat. Anyone know for sure what it is?

  • I heard this too and I asked my Dr. and she said it was a myth.
I THINK the myth is if the baby's heartbeat is slower it is a boy and if its at a faster rate its a girl. This did hold true with my children:)

  • i would have to say its a myth because my mom was told i was a boy because of my heartbeat guess back then they thought boy's heart beats was fast lol but I'm definitely not a boy but its hard to tell with the heartbeat

  • Totally not true. My doctor mentioned this to me at every exam, when my baby's heartbeat was in the 160's (as some believe girl's are faster). Nope, I got a big 'ole baby boy!
