What Is KARO SYRUP??

I've heard many mom's on here suggest it for constipation..I have no idea what it is..maybe because I'm Canadian? I have been told to use Corn Syrup in the past by a nurse when my son was 2 months..is that the same thing, just a diff name?

  • Karo is corn syrup. Karo is just the brand name. My in-laws tried it with my son when he was about 2 months old and it didn't work. I never would have allowed it had they actually asked me about it though.

  • Karo syrup, called King syrup around here, is mainly corn syrup. Corn syrup may be more pure, Karo has high fructose corn syrup as its second ingredient and some other syrup as the third, and a preservative.
