Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess.....

Philip. 2:9-11

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

What do you think this means? Do you think that people will drop to their knees in awe and wonder? Similar to Revelation 1:17 in which St. John writes:

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last."

What do you think of these verses.... does it excite you? Scare you?

  • Both I guess...I'm very confused right now and not sure what I believe. I believe in God and what he has done for us...I just don't know what I believe when it comes to salvation. :(

  • I get excited reading and talking about the prophecies of Christ. The only scary thing to me is thinking about what will become of non believers :( We have so much work to do as Christians... prayer, serving and getting outside of our comfort zones to reach others.

  • "Should" does not mean "will."

    Neither excites nor scares me.
