How do I clean wicker table mats?

I bought red wicker table mats from Target but I don't know how to clean them. Should I just soak them in soap and water or is there a better solution?

  • If they are glued at all then soaking them wouldn't work and you'd have to spot treat them or wipe with a damp cloth. Also, wicker will soften if soaked, unless there is a waterproof coating on them. Could you check at Target either online or in the store and see if it says on the mats? Also red mats I'd worry about soaking since it might make the dye come out.

  • use a small handheld broom and brush them clean in cross stroke method. It will remove most, if not all the debri, and then you a=can wipe them down witha slightly dampened clth.
