how do you start introducing a cup to a 12 month old??

do i just not give him a bottle period anymore

  • Start using a cup with meals or snacks. I found the ones with rubbery tops were easiest for my babies to use at first. I definitely wouldn't cut out all the bottles until your baby gets pretty good at using a cup. Once your baby is doing well with a cup you can start taking away bottles either all at once , or one feeding at a time. I cut mine down to two bottles (morning and bedtime) for a while, and then only one (bedtime) for a while before I took them away completely.
