Toys for a 3 year old girl?

Christmas was such a guessing game for me on the toys I should get my 3 year old. She ended up liking things I wouldn't have thought she would and not playing with toys I thought she would love. Anyone have toys that were proven hits with 3 year old girls? My daughter's birthday is coming up.

  • Honestly, I don't spend a lot on toys, because what she chooses to play with is sometimes a suprise to me. What my DD likes best are things that let her use her imagination. She LOVES her books and blocks. She recieved a plastic tea set from a hubby's co-worker that she is CRAZY about! She loves her baby doll. Art supplies are always a hit with her. She likes her plastic animals. Basically anything that allows her to use her imagination. This is a key time for kids developing and pretending.
At this age they could care less how much you spend on toys, so don't worry about that, just get things you think she'd enjoy.

  • My daughter turned three right after Christmas. She got a doll house this year and she loves it. She got an easel last year and still uses it daily. At this age, you should encourage creativity and pretend play. Dress up stuff is always a good option too.

  • My daughter loves her "Rose Petal Cottage", made by Preskool. Check it out and get the accessories/furniture that goes with it. Also, that "Dream Dazzlers" beauty shop vanity is a big hit here also. They can actually pretend they are washing hair in its built in sink with fake sprayer. It comes with all the accessories and is not too expensive.

  • My daughter just turned 3 and she really likes her kitchen set, doll house, easel, games such as hi ho cherry-o, candy land, memory, bathtub doll, little pet shop, my little pony ponyville set, dress up clothes and books! I hope this helps!
