What do you do when you feel a cold coming on?

I usually start taking some antioxidants, eat lots of fruit/veggies rich in antioxidants, make some chicken broth with garlic, and take some antihistimine/decongestants to try to fend it off! It usually works. What do YOU do to keep that cold at bay?

  • Zicam really helped last time. Or taking Alka Seltzer cold right at the first sign always cut it.

  • Do you use the nasal swab zicam? I used zicam tablets and they didn't help.

Anyway, I use the netipot and salt/baking soda rinse. Echinacea tea. Mucinex. Let me know about the zicam, please, since I'll get some of that.

  • I used the chewable Zicam and it works great, but my hubby likes the pills that dissolve.
