Every feeling we have is normal. So if she is sharing what she is thinking and feeling it is normal. It is perfectly age appropriate that at 11 she develops a crush on some boy and she feels nervous around him. Now mom can begin what is her right of passage with her daughter. She can talk to her about growing up and having crushes. She can answer her questions honestly and with compassion. Have mercy on tweens and teens because at this age it is all drama. And they deserve a compassionate compass to steer them in the right direction. How cool is that that there is a tween who confided in her mother with such details! I think that mom rocks.
