If Jesus Christ were born to a virgin in these days like he was so many years ago, would you believe that he is the messiah?

Think about it. People watched him grow up like any other human being. They played with him, ate with him, had conversations, etc. We study the Scriptures now, many years after he walked this earth, and we believe based on research. But, would you have believed if you lived on the earth when he walked the earth?

  • UMMMM No. Alexander the Great was supposedly born of a virgin too. Does that make him the messiah??

  • Maybe after seeing a few miracles he did. But honestly probably not at first. Also I am a Christian and do believe in the Bible.

  • Well, with the existance of IVF and other advanced reproductive technologies a virgin birth would be a lot easier to explain today!

  • Good question...Probably not because the reputation nowadays of women is horrible... But I guess they didnt believe it then either...It took time for the concept to catch on.

  • Problem with this question is even back then there were people that didn't believe, they were the jews! They had to kill him ! The people that did believe , did so because of His words and the miracles He did , so if He did that now which He does yes I would believe!

Alexander the great would not be the messiah because He did not do miracles and He was not the Son of God. Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and the seed came to be. That makes Jesus the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied of in the Old Testament!
