  • No, but I was considering it. Are they easy to keep/care for?

  • They are expensive to get started and there is a learning curve as far as the husbandry goes but once they are established they are really easy to care for. The key is learning as much as you can about the frog before you get it and NOT just from the pet store. They are full of miss information and don't really know what you need just what they are trained to recommend. (We learned that the hard way) I know a lot about tropical frogs now- mostly my whites if you have any questions. They are super cool pets.

  • The males will call some but we have a female. We have only ever heard her about 3 times in 2.5 years! The crickets on the other hand... chirp a bit.

  • Yes mine eats live crickets and wax worms. I hand feed her most of the time but I leave them in the cage for her to 'hunt' should she decide to. I am not sure how well she is at it. She was not inthe best conditions for a while and it has effected her eye so I am not sure how well she sees.

  • We have a dwarf frog that we bought from a children's learning place a couple years ago. Used to be two, but the other one died. They are in a self-containing habitat and all we have to do is feed him twice a week and make sure there is enough water in there.
