question about Adam and Eve? Open to all, believers and non.

If God put Adam and Eve onto this earth as the first humans, they why wasn't Christianity, aka Judaism, etc. the first and only religion out there?

  • well, #1 Christianity only came to be after Christ was born. it could not have existed in the time of Adam & Eve

#2 God gave everyone free will. we can each choose to believe whatever we want to, weather it is ultimately right or wrong, we can believe it. Humans have always had this power. That's why Eve was able to eat from the tree of knowledge-free will even though God told her not to.

#3 you also have to remember that people were very spread out in the days of old with no real means of communication therefor one person couldn't tell others as freely of what they believed.

  • the point I'm making is christianity, was a product made from several other religions.. and was reformed into it's own religion... but if God put Adam and Eve on this earth first, would they not of been christians? Instead of worshippers of many gods.. like in the links above? The concept christianity came much later than these first religions...

  • as I stated to have Christianity Christ had to have been born and died so Adam and Eve could never have been Christian. Anyone that thinks there were is quiet naive.

  • Considering the idea of monotheism didn't make an appearance in human history until the failed religion of Akhenaten...

  • actually back before christ was born, it was pretty much one and the same, which is why i wrote it that way... secondly.. you say god gave them free will.. okay.. but why go against him and his believes then? and adam and eve were suppose to be the first...were they not? so spreading the word wouldn't really of been a problem... my points exactly.

  • "but why go against him"

IDK why in the heck did Eve eat the apple if that's your logic.... ?

LOL it amuses me that you are arguing with me when I was trying to explain why there wasn't just one religion like it seems to be is your sole purpose to let people know that Christianity was not the first...
