sick with a virus...I think

My 3 yr old daughter seems to have a virus. Threw up Monday morning, just once. Kept water and crackers down all day. Stayed home on Tuesday and continued a diet of water, crackers and pedialyte freezie pops. Played all day. Didnt complain of anything. Last night(Tuesday) woke up ate 10 and threw up and went back to sleep. Is back to herself this morning. Hungry, not complaining. She also has a stuffy nose. Could it also be the mucus in her tummy? Help.

  • It could be...either way, it's a virus...cold or stomach.

If her nose has been stuffy for awhile, it really could be mucous in her stomach. Here, it usually causes a loss of appetite and then we deal with loose stools for a few days as the mucous works its way out of their system.....

Play it safe and consider it a stomach won't hurt the cold and will be easier on her stomach anyway...

  • The mucus sitting on her stomach could very easily be making her sick like that. If it were the stomach flu, she'd have been vomiting more freguently. With the stuffy nose, could be cold virus, could just be allergies, but either way, the drainage she's having can make her nauseous.
