how much/long do you bleed from a miscarriage?

  • This really varies. I had a missed miscarriage. Meaning I never really bled. I had just a strand of brown blood and that was it. I went in to get checked out, anyway, thinking it was nothing... but the baby had died 3 weeks prior! At 6 weeks the baby had measured 6 weeks and there was a heartbeat. At 10 the baby was gone and measuring only 7 weeks.

    But, some people... probably most... DO experience bleeding with a miscarriage. My bff had a large gush that lasted for 2 hours and it was over. Some bleed for a longer amount of time.

    It varies from person to person and miscarriage to miscarriage I think.

  • I m/c at 8 wks and bled for 10 days. i think it can range from 1-2 weeks
