Baking pies days in advance

do any of you do this or do you think it's gross? this is my first year being in charge of the pies, so i decided i'd like to actually do it homemade instead of store bought. apple i already knew how to do (which i will do Wednesday evening) but pumpkin i did not so a couple of weeks ago i made a pumpkin pie. it turned out okay but i noticed each day that it tasted better than the day before. so this leads me to believe the longer it has to set, the better it will taste. hence im baking the pumpkin pies tomorrow.

do any of you do this?

  • yes, a day or two will be fine or can make a freeze some of the pies if bake to early

  • I think the pumpkin is ok earlier, but it's good you're doing the apple late Wed. They just dont look as nice after a day. sometimes mushy. : (
