How do you get oil stains out of white or khaki pants?

My DH got oil on his pants while he was at work and didn't tell me about it. He gave me the pants the other day to wash, 2 weeks AFTER the oil got in them, so it's good and set in. Any way to get at least some of it out? The pants are white khaki style.

  • Well, since it's been there a while...I don't know. When I get oil on something, I but baby powder on it. Let it sit like that for a while. The baby powder soaks it up. It works great for oil from food - at least right away. Good luck.

  • Dawn dish soap. Just like the commercials say it breaks up grease. I keep a bottle in my laundry room and I've used it successfully after drying too.
