Can I get any advice on breastfeeding?

Im a new mom and I was just looking for some useful tips.

  • Oh honey, you will get a ton of tips on here! I don't breast feed anymore, but the best suggestion I can give you is to join a breast feeding group on here. You will get all the advice you can handle!

  • Just keep trying no matter what! It frustrating and it hurts but you just have to keep on trucking and you will get it down and it will be eay and so worth it!!

  • Make sure your latch is correct..
    Aside from that- it's generally smooth sailing.

    You can never nurse too much, so nurse on demand.

  • Just remember the first 2 weeks are the hardest, but don't give up.

  • Don't let anyone make you feel uncomfortable about BFing (especially in public places), get a few nursing bras and tanks (theyre lifesavers!), don't give up- it creates such a special bond!, be sure to communicate with your partner about what you need from them while you nurse and if you need help with burping/changing, and cherish all those late night feedings with your baby- some day they won't need you or want to see you so often.. enjoy it while it lasts :)
