What do you do with your canned Cranberry Sauce?

Im just curious if you use the canned cranberry sauce, how do you serve it?
Do you just plop it out of the can onto a serving tray?
Do you slice it into slices?
Do you mash it up & put it in a nice bowl?

My DH & a few other family members LOVE cs from the can, we just slice it up for people to get.. This year I am pregnant & just thinking of seeing it makes me queezy! .. To eat something that is still in the mold of the can (ridges) it just came out of is so gross!! lol

  • My mom actually got mad at me one year when I tried to mix things up and stirred the jelled cranberry sauce. She said it doesn't taste right if you can't see the shape of the can... LMAO! What a nut. So we just plop it out and slice it.

  • For just us I plop it in a dish & we all take the portions we want. If other people are joining us I slice it up so it's easy to grab a piece.

  • I use canned cranberry relish when I make meatballs, 1 can cranberry relish and 1 can tomato sauce. I make homemade relish. It's a no cook recipe I do in the food processor.
