  • Crate training is awesome. So are mini schnauzers!

Paper training works, too. Put some papers inside where you want her to potty, then gradually move them closer to the door, eventually outside. And when she goes outside, praise her like she just won a spelling bee.

  • Crate training is the easiest way to go. Usually dogs will not poop/pee in their own space. Put her in the right size crate when you can't watch her (not too big...only big enough for her to lie down comfortably), take her outside as soon as you take her out of the crate, take her out often (every 30 minutes if not more often), and offer lots of praise when she goes outside and she'll start to pick up on it. Without a crate you're probably going to look at a longer training process.

  • We use puppy pads and going outside, I also use a crate. We have two pups right now and they are pretty well trained and 4 months or so old.

  • Confine her to an easy clean floor. Clean it well and often. Her scent will encourage her to go there. But until about 12 weeks she cant hold it. Get to know her habits, when she goes, where, and accomidate. My puppy goes after playing really hard so thats a time we go out. After eating or naps is good potty time.

  • theres a spray you can buy at petsmart, you can probably get it at any pet store can't remember the name of it but you spray it where you want your pup to potty. make sure you say something like "go potty" or "hurry up" when you want the pup to potty. i am also potty training a pooch of my own, i've been taking his paw & scratching it on the door before we go outside. also if your pup does potty outside make sure praise it when it's done. give it a small treat or a "good doggie!". if the pup potties inside & you catch it in the act pick it up immediately & take it where you want it to potty. scolding it after it's done doesn't do a thing. and a dog doesn't need 10-15 minutes to potty. i take mine out every hour or 2 and he potties within 5 minutes, number 1 &/or 2.

  • When my pup bites me I shove a toy in her mouth. Or make it very unpleasant to have my hand in her mouth, like poke the roof of her mouth. She has pretty much stopped biting.

  • oh that's right, the sprays! Walmart's brand of housetraining spray actually works great. Spray it where you want the dog to go in your yard...they do the rest of the work.
