Sharp pains in my lower back at 9 weeks...

When I bend over and then stand up right again, I get BAD sharp pains in my lower back. I never had them with my last pregnancy. Does anyone know whats up?

  • I agree...it could be your sciatic nerve. It will usually pass though. I had it this pregnancy, but not last...and it got pretty bad, but only lasted about 2 months.

  • I would go see a chiropractor. If it's muscular pain, it likely has nothing to do with the pregnancy yet. The baby wouldn't be big enough at this point to affect you back. You probably slept weird or something. The chiropractor can really make your entire pregnancy more comfortable to. They work with your body as it grows.

  • It could be round ligament pain or sciatic nerve pain.
