Has anyone used revitol to prevent stretch marks? My mom had horrible stretch marks but never tried to prevent them. Can exercise, water, and lotion really work. I hate when everyone says its only genetic. Please tell me that there is hope.

  • You can try those to maybe lessen the look of them but everyone will tell you if your mom has them you will have them they are genetic sorry.

  • When I was pregnant w/ my son, I used lotion everyday, sometimes twice a day. Never got one stretch mark. I'm 18 wks pregnant now and have done the same. Haven't seen any yet. I just use lotion from Bath and Body Works or from Victoria secret. My mom got stretch marks, so I'm not too sure on the whole genetic thing.

  • My sisters and mother have horrible stretch marks. No more bikini's for them. I have used any lotion, cocoa butter and definitely the oil. I keep my stomach and thighs saturated with them. I never let my skin get dry. I always have a bottle on me. I am due in a month and I don't have a stretch mark on me yet.

  • They can help, but genetics DO play a large role. Slow, healthy weight gain is also important, give your skin time to react! I did this and didn't have any stretch marks...until I went into labor and swelled up like a balloon! All my hard work down the drain! :)
