My 9yo ds wrote a letter to vetrans, or military men, where do I send it?

It's just thanking them for their service, and telling them how much he loves them. Do you know anyone personally who would enjoy a letter like that? If so I would love to send it to them. I checked on-line and from what I could see you need an actual name to send a letter. TIA!

 

I should add that he loves Marines. His dream is to meet one, and be one someday:)

  • I know that USO.org and Red Cross work in conjunction with the Military. Have you contacted them yet?

  • not just that, but if other papers saw it (bigger papers in other towns) they could use it too, spreading it farther yet.

  • Is there a military base near you, or a VFW? Definitely check with the VFW because those older guys LOVE telling stories. I know I loved going with my Great Grandpa when I was little, LOVE LOVE LOVE listening to the old war stories.

  • At the V.A. last week a volunteer passed out notes like that from children. It was really nice... lol too bad my card when I opened was blank and a monster looking doodle on front hehe. :)
