  • Spotting is basically a discharge from your body. There is generally an amount of blood in the spotting. It can be mucus with a tinge of blood. It can be brown, red, pink, and darker shades of each. It can be heavy, it can be light, it can be only in your toilet paper. Generally your body is telling you something, indicative of the color and whether there are cramps along with the spotting. Spotting can happen between periods, while pregnant and even while on the pill.
