Is dragging himself across the floor on his belly a sign that he is fixing to crawl?

  • That is a way of crawling for some babies. It is sometimes referred to as the army crawl.

  • Kaylee did the "Army Crawl" for about 2-3 weeks, and then she started with the getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth, and then she turned into a crawling pro.

    Watch out, it is the beginning of the end.

  • Yes and no. Lots of babies scoot on their bellies and then crawl and some of those just walk after that. Each little on is individual in that area, it's just important that he can get around! Good luck!

  • my cousin "army crawled" like that for 3 weeks and then one day got up and ran across the room, so for my aunt it was honestly the beginning of the end lol! look out cause hes officially on the move! my dd is 6 mos and does that whole rockin on the hands and knees and then belly flops to move lol

  • mine is 6 months old and army crawls sort of the past couple of days, she really does the rockin on hte floor and lunge now!
