to the help about seeing a specialist

as anyone who knows about my situation and the low amniotic fluid. Last night i asked a question about amniotesis i don't know how to spell it but its an amniot test. well i got a letter in the mail from the clinic or hospital were i am going and they said in the letter that i am going for a perinatology or level 2 ultrasound. Has anyone had one of them?? im not scared or nervous i am more relieved then anything that they dont have to perform a high risk procedure on me. BUt i was wondering has anyone had this done before.

  • I hope someone with experience will answer, but if I wasgoing to the dr for a test I didn;t know about, I'd #1 google it, and #2, ask the doctor or nurse to get me some information. Good luck to you.

This explains what a level 2 ultrasound is.   I've had a "biophysical" via ultrasound.  They watched the baby for needed breathing movements, physical movement, heart beating regularly.   Good luck!

  • level 2 ultrasound is nothing more than a longer ultrasound where they look at things on the baby closer and measure a lot more of the baby. worst thing is that your tummy may be sore after all the prodding :) good luck!
