  • If hot doesn't work, sometimes it doesn't, like for me, try ice water, not tepid but ice. It really feels good, but, not citrus juices, ahhhhhhhhhhh...

  • Cold seems to help me with sore throats. Make a smoothie with fruit and no milk products. If warm seems to help, try some thickened beef or chicken broth. Warm tea. I know it sounds crazy but coke with a ton of ice and a straw helped my throat lol.

  • You are taking antibiotics, I hope?
    Ginger ale. Popsicles.
Hot tea with lemon and honey. Salted broth.
Try adding a little kosher or non-iodized salt to a cup of warm water and sniffing it up each nostril in turn and spitting it out, then gargle with more.
