Adapting a recipe

I have a recipe for a cake that calls for a bundt pan. I don't have one right now, but I really want to make this recipe. Can anyone tell me what changes I would need to make to baking temp and/or time in order to bake it in a 13x9 pan or an 8x8 pan?

  • 13x9 pan cakes generally bake in 25-35 minutes...Bundt cake batters tend to be more dense, so don't worry if it takes a little longer. Just check in the normal way: first lightly press your finger in the center of the baked should spring back and not hold a dent. Next, insert a toothpick or skewer. A few moist crumbs is perfect..and wet batter, it's not done.

    Have fun!

  • Timing. You will just have to check it after 25 min and see if its done/.

  • yep, just check after about 25 minutes with a tooth pick in the center to see if it's done, if it's not, check again in about 5 minutes.
