is not wanting to eat due to constipation?

my 7 month old is kinda constipated, having abnormal bowel for him, small and hard, normal is lots and mushy.....well he eats the baby food in jars as well as his regular bottles, well today and yesterday he is having abnormal bowel movements and today he is not wanting to eat or have bottles, is this related?
and if so what can i do?

  • Could be. Might give him a little juice and see if you can get things to progress.
    Good luck!
    Could just be a little illness making him less hungry. Either way, I'd try to let him take it easy for a day or so.

  • it may certainly be related. YOu wouldnj't want to eat if your belly hurt from not pooping, right? Try some apples or banannas. Those foods are known to help with constipation. Try feedig the baby food without any cereal, and give your baby some pedia-lyte or water to help with the process.

  • Give him some juice. If that doesn't work, a gkycerin suppository will clean him out in no time. They are safe OTC and be purchased at Walmart or Walgreens.
