  • just stop letting him suck on y9our tits, whenever he tries grabbing them to suck him do it like the female dogs do they just get up and take off or if he still hangs on then just slap his mouth until he gets the point!

  • start giving him formula it probably taste way better than breastmilk and that will make him stop wanting your breast.

  • NO NO NO to all of the above answers. Hot sauce????Dear God.

THIS IS WHAT WORKS: Distract. Delay. Don't say no, say "Not now. We;ll nurse after Barney." or some otehr time marker your toddler can understand. Drop ONE FEEDING PER WEEK. NO faster, or you'll be miserable.

You don't need formula of any kind at this point. Offer water or whole milk, your choice.

DO NOT EXPECT COOPERATION. Toddler instinct; they know they should keep nursing till they want to stop. And know this: Michael Jordan and Albert Einstein were breastfed to age 3.

You don't HAVE to stop if you don't want to. If you want to, one feeding dropped per week.

Have you ever tasted both? **smile** Formula is nasty tasting stuff compared to breastmilk. And there's no need.

I can't believe it. I've always said the only bad mom is the one who beats her baby. Never thought I'd actually see someone advocating it.

  • Yeah Ive tasted formula 8) and I think we all have at some point in our baby life's, but I meant to put whole milk because at 1 yrs old its time to give them whole milk.
