Surrendered Wives...

Why do people have such negative thoughts when they hear this term? For those who hold negative opinions in regards to this phrase....have you ever gotten to know some surrendered wives to see if your beliefs held water?

  • well, I can see its appeal after checking out the website.

It is EXHAUSTING trying to control everything and yesterday I actually broke down into tears over this very thing. I have never been good at relinquishing control so it would be a challenge for me, but to improve my life and my family's lives, I may just buy the book and see ;)

  • The underlying principle of The Surrendered Wife is simple: The control women wield at work and with children must be left at the front door of any marriage to revitalize intimacy.
It definately isnt for me but I can care less how other people lead their lives. If it works for you then whatever. I prefer to have a partnership rather then surrender anything or change myself.

  • so these women give up control to their husbands when they are at home with them?

  • Actually I am a surrendered wife. My marriage is a partnership. That is one of the false/negative opinions that I am speaking of.

  • Give up all control....no. It does put the husband in a head of household position.
