Have you ever said good things about your kids

for them to turn around really be jerks, I am talking adult kids, ya do what ya can to help them them they turn into greedy monsters?

Today I would like to tell mine to go find someone else to mooch from. Where she can have a room with cable, her own bathroom, a flat screen tv, a computer with internet, food bought and paid for along with anytime we do eat out we include her. Is on our auto insurance to make her payments affordable, when she needs something we make sure we help her get it if its truly a need. Send her to the store and dont hound her for change etc.

Well I am glad its Christmas or today would have been the LAST straw, but come january first she will be looking for another idiot to support her because it is NOT going to be me- she makes more than my husband brings home after we pay for medical, dental and vision which she is privaledged to have as well.

But ask her to fork over some money for something and she says no- HELL NO!!!

  • You are accidentally teaching your daughter to be irresponsible. Always make them hand over the change; it shows you are careful about money. Never pay for another person's car , running expense or insurance. That shows you will always pick up their mistakes. By this age she should be doing her own washing and ironing. She should be helping with household maintenance tasks. If you act super-responsibly, then some of that will filter down to your child. You have to aim really high with some kids to get an average result.

  • I went thru this same thing w/ my son. (He's 20 y/o) He just moved out (his idea) & I am quite frankly, relieved! It's less stressful now. B/C no matter how much we talked, begged, insisted, nagged, etc., he would not help out, & would not pay a dime towards rent or groceries. (he did pay his insurance, gas & upkeep & his cell phone tho) You will hopefully reach an agreement, rather than your breaking point. GL! :)

  • It's time to be responsible! Adult hood welcome to the REAL WORLD! :) I will not be easy with my children they need to learn on their own, however I would be glad to help! Buy food or toilet paper once in a while or any house hold items they need, I will even help give gas money and have them over for dinner, But I will NOT! Pay everything! And I will not be walked on or USED!!!
