I give my son a lot of canned vegetables...is this okay? I usually buy the ones with low sodium or no sodium...if available...I just can't afford to buy many fresh vegetables...Answer Question

Canned is okay.........but frozen has more of the nutrients.

Fresh is best but. . . I usually buy frozen (love dollar days) especially peas and carrots. I prefer canned green beans and peaches and pears if I can find them in juice and not syrup.

My daughter LOVES the whole baby carrots and the whole greenbean canned veggies. Low or no sodium or added salt whenever possible. They were awesome finger foods when she was learning to feed herself. Just firm enough for her to pick-up, and just mushy enough for her to chew up completely.
