when should milk come in?

ok soo i had Lily on Thursday and it seems like im still waiting for my milk to come in.. does anyone know anything that will encourage it to speed up??

  • It can take 3-4 days. Let her nurse anyway as she will get the colustrum which is awesome for babies, and will also encourage your milk to come in. Also pumping every two hours will encourage the milk to come in faster too. It took about 3 days each time for my milk to come in fully and then Ouch! You can't nurse enough! Congratulations!

  • The best thing is to continue to put her to the breast as often as she seems to want it. It might seem like it's forever, and that she is constantly attached to your breast, but if you want a good BF relationship, sometimes the constant nursing is crucial in the early days and weeks.   • ive tried and tried to get her to stay on the breast but she acts like she isnt getting enough because im producing barely any colostrum.. she just screams and screams
