ahh what do i do with a 10 month old that acts like a toddler ( his doctor told me he considers him more of a toddler then an infant!!)

He's already throwing temper tantrums, hitting his head and throwing his head into/against everything, squealing. Smacks his hands against things. I tell him NO and I smack his hands, although it gets worse he smacks more when I do that. I don't know if he's just being goofy or trying to smack back??I feel like i'm already going through terrible twos haha. hopefully he'll be my good precious little boy again by age 2. :)

Any tips on discipline and just keeping him under control before it gets bad??

  • My son does the same stuff. Now 11 months old. I am hoping this will end soon....

  • Please don't smack. It doesn't teach him anything. When he starts acting out like that stay calm and place him in a playpen or crib (a safe place). Place him in the safe place AS SOON AS he starts the behavior. Take him out when he stops. Be consistent. Don't yell and don't stress. Staying calm and in control of yourself goes a long way in teaching your child how to control himself.

  • First off- dont smack your child- they are little parrots- if you do it- they think they SHOULD do it.

It seems as though something may either be bothering your child, or an outside influence- daycare, siblings- may be putting this behavior in your childs head.

    good luck to you.
