  • I don't remember. How much does a marriage license cost? 'Cause that's all the money we spent. A friend's husband married us in their living room --- he wouldn't accept our money... In fact, they gave us money as a wedding gift LOL No dress, no tux, no reception, no flowers... nada.

  • Well you are doing much better than i did:

    Reception Venue:£2500
    Dress: £3000
    Grooms Suit: £2000
    Grooms Ring:£850
    Entertainment/Band: £500
    Flowers/Decor: £1000
    License:£50
Food and Cake and Drink: £1500
    Invites:£300
    Bridemaids dresses & Pageboys: £4000 (3 bridemaids + Maid of honour + 2 pageboys)
    Honeymoon: £10,000

We spent alot and that isn't all of it yet. But we were only 18 and had a lot of help from our families to have the perfect white wedding lol. But you are doing good if we did'nt have help we would'nt probably be on a stricter budget.

  • I spent under $200 for the actual ceremony, we had small wedding at a wedding chapel where the rice and pictures were included. I bought material and had my MIL to be, make my dress (it was a style like I could've bought in a store because I'm just not a girly girl). We bought cheap rings (I later replaced mine for about $250). Our pictures look really nice, and it was small and quiet like we both wanted.

  • hubbys ring was only 100.. we bought the cheapest one.. he only wears it on weekends cause he's and electrician. umm my rings totaled about 1500 my parents paid for the wedding, hubby paid for rings.. bridesmaids paid for their dresses, and grooms men paid for their tuxes. (bm dresses were whatever dress they wanted as long as it was a certain color)
    tuxes were 107 :)

  • It all depends on where you live. We had a wedding in Fargo, ND that cost about $12,000, but in Boston, where we lived for years, the same wedding would have cost $40,000-$50,000. It all depends.
