  • YES it should be legal.
Teachers are not caring more and more nowdays and I think a PARENT is more involved that a teacher with a bunch of students.

  • I think they should meet a certain criteria...not everyone is cut out to teach. Just because you're someone's mom/dad doesn't automatically mean you're an effective teacher.

  • Its already that way. I homeschool my son and I have to have a HS diploma and a proper curriculum to do so. It is that way in all the states. Some require an AA, a Bachelors, HS etc. Its already regulated.

  • i think homeschool is a bad idea all the way around. how are your children suppose to learn to deal with the public and other children if they are at home. besides i dont think they learn as much as they should be learning that way.

  • We DO. Every state has it's own set of laws regarding homeschooling.

  • Well, at first I thought homeschooling parents have strict guildelines but now I think they get away with a lot. I also think it shelters the kids and I know this will sound silly but they turn out " a little odd" sometimes. Anyways, in MY opinion, I think it should be illegal. I think their are plenty of other options for school then smoothering your children and keeping them home... not only being Mom, but friend, teacher, chef...etc..

  • OMG why do people continue to believe that homeschooling is secluding your kids from the public? even though we have continued to tell them it's not true?

  • Public schools are cookie cutter education assembly lines. I would love to homeschool my kids because I can't afford private school. The government cannot be expected to control every aspect of out lives. There would be a standard criteria for getting pregnant. Homeschool kids normally belong to a community of other kids that take gym, art, music, and go on regular outings together.
